Our Blessed Hope

Scripture describes the process of our salvation in three stages: Justification (Romans 4:1-5), Sanctification (Romans 6:1-23, 2 Thessalonians 2:13) and Glorification (Romans 8:28-30, 1 Peter 5:10, Colossians 3:4) Justification is a judicial declaration by God for those who through the gift of faith believe in Jesus. Our glorification will occur when Jesus returns to claim His bride. Sanctification is the Holy Spirit’s work in us to conform us to the likeness of Christ as we put off our old sin nature in obedience to Jesus’ instruction. 

Titus 2:11-14 describes God’s saving (justifying), sanctifying and glorifying grace for those “who are a people for his own possession”. 

Not only is our blessed hope the return of Jesus in all his glory, our only hope is found in His finished work. He truly is the faithful One.
