Psalm 99

This summer we will preach through Psalm 93-105. While studying these Psalms, you will see several repeated themes. For example, this section (Psalms 93:1 and 104:1) begins and ends with the LORD clothed in splendor and majesty. From these passages, we will rejoice together as we worship the holy, majestic, glorious, eternal, righteous King of Kings as we declare His wondrous deeds throughout history.

Would the fact that He “sits enthroned upon the cherubim” affect your conversation?

What role does the fact that He “loves justice” and is “a forgiving God” play?

What facet of God’s holiness (majesty, justice mercy) challenges your thoughts of Him the most?

How have you experienced his forgiveness and loving correction?

Act

How would you pray for the Holy Spirit to give you “eyes” to see the LORD as “Holy…Holy…Holy”?

Does that change how you draw near to Him? If so, how?
