DNA Questions - 1 Corinthians 10:1-22
Discover:
  • What is the significance of Christ being the "Spiritual Rock that followed them"?
  • What does God's faithfulness have to do with dealing with temptation?
  • What is Paul getting at when he states that you cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons?

Nurture:
  • In reference to the Israelites' idolatry, we can gather a few warning signs:
    • Impatience
    • Love of the culture
    • Ingratitude
    • Pride
  • Which of these are the most dangerous for you and how can the gospel help us flee these things?

  • Some of the fruit of idolatry is:
    • Jealousy of others
    • Anger towards others
    • Discontentment
  • Can you see these in your life and how can the gospel help you to locate the idols and put them to death?

Act:
  • What it look like practically for you to flee the idols you know exist in your life?
  • What would it look like practically for your DNA group to serve and edify the body of Christ here at ARCC?

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

We need help with setting up on Sunday mornings at 6:00 am and tearing down at 12:00 pm after 2nd service. Click the link below or scan the QR code to sign up!
We are in need of helpers in our kid's ministry. It is a once a month commitment to assist the teacher of the age group you're working with (Nursery, Toddlers (walking to 3 years old), Preschool (4-6 years old), Kids 1st-5th grade). This is a great way to make disciples and love on the families at ARCC. Click the link below to sign up!
We are looking for more people to serve at the prayer table to pray at the YMCA for Y staff and members. This is an incredible opportunity to engage our community with the hope of the gospel.
Listen to the latest episode of the ARCC podcast. Click the link below to access it in Apple Podcasts or find it on our ARCC App.
New ARCC merch is available! Visit the welcome center before or after either service to grab one of two t-shirts for $20 or a mug for $15. Hoping to have hats coming soon!
Men, we're excited about our retreat this year. We'll be back at Camp Sequoia and we'll be looking at how our personal devotion is so important to us as men, to our families, and to our world. This is a great opportunity to get away with men from our church. We hope you can all join us.

The sessions won't begin until Friday but we have the place reserved starting Thursday evening so if you can make it out then we'd love to have you. There are spots to camp if you want to bring a tent or hammock, or there are cabins and dorms if you prefer, you'll just need to bring your own bedding. Cost is $100.
Mark your calendars! Our Youth Camp is set for July 10–14 in Glorieta, New Mexico. This year’s theme focuses on Colossians 3 and the preeminence of Christ, with practical sessions on developing spiritual disciplines. We'll join with other churches from the Redeemer Network for a week of worship, fellowship, and growth. Don’t miss this opportunity to deepen your faith and build lasting friendships!  Registration is open to any student in grades 6-12. The cost is $385 per student and includes all transportation, meals and lodging. If you are interested, please register with a $100 deposit. The balance will be due before we leave.
Calling all students grades 6-12! Our student gatherings are held at 9:00am on Sunday mornings at the YMCA. Our hope is to break off into discipleship groups for a time of gospel centered, biblically based conversations. We want to equip you to represent Christ well wherever He has you! Please register your students in the app ASAP- it's not too late to join in!
Men, join us as we study the book of Hebrews with men of ARCC. We are currently meeting at the home of Winton Roberson on Saturday mornings at 6:30am. This is an excellent time to meet other men in our church and to sit under the Word. We hope you can join us. Don't forget to bring a chair!

Address and more info can be found on the app or at the link below!
Ladies, we are so excited to be back together for the new year and we welcome all newcomers! We will be diving into the book of Hebrews. The evening study meets on Wednesday's at the Hendon's at 6.30 p.m. and will continue until May 21st. There is no child care available. The morning study meets Friday mornings starting at the Borgaard Home from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. Childcare is available.

Our prayer is that as Biblical literacy increases, our love for Jesus and each other increases as well. We are trusting the Lord to convict, encourage, and sanctify us by His Spirit through the Word!

Addresses, gate codes, and more can be found on the app or at the link below!
Church Family,
Our building fund currently sits at $216,814.58.  I pray that you are as encouraged as our elders are.  This number represents a combination of gifts given specifically to the “building fund” as well as our ability, in a season of low expenses, to apply excess tithes and offerings as well.  Thank you so much for your continued faithfulness and generosity.  We have hired engineers who have begun the process of getting us ready to break ground.  We are hoping to begin building later in 2025!  Be sure to follow the ARCC podcast for more updates. Click the link below and join us in what we believe God is leading us towards as a church family.
Church family, we would like to offer you a free account on the "Dwell" app! This is a wonderful app that allows you to listen to the Bible being read with different voice options, background music options, and more! Click the link below to create your free account through ARCC.

Church Media

We want to encourage all of you to take pictures and videos of any church events you are apart of and use the link below to share those with the church. We will be using those to show all the exciting stuff going on in the life of ARCC. Don't hesitate to capture those amazing moments!!

BAPTISM

We offer baptisms a few times a year. Those interested in being baptized attend a short class where we talk more in-depth about what baptism is, and what it means in the life of a believer. This class also gives us an opportunity to hear your story and answer any questions that you may have.

GIVE

God has used and continues to use the faithful and generous giving of those here at ARCC to supply what we need for the work that He has given us to do. We invite you to sow into that work and come alongside us as we make disciples here in San Antonio and beyond.

SERVE

There's a lot that goes into ministry here at ARCC, and we're only able to make it happen together. Each week so many of you come together to use your gifts,  talents, time, and effort to minister to the body.  If you're not serving anywhere yet we encourage you all to get involved. Click the link below to find out about opportunities to serve and to sign up to get involved.

COVENANT MEMBERSHIP

If you’re interested in becoming part of the family here at ARCC then Covenant Membership is for you. We’ve moved to a new online process. At the link below you will find a page that walks you through the new process. You’ll find lots of information on who we are and what we believe and what we expect from our members and what you can expect from us. We believe that being a member of a local body is vital to the overall health and discipleship of a believer in Christ. Once you have completed the application one of our Elders will reach out to set up a meeting with you where we can meet you, go over your application, and answer any questions that you may have.
